Police Testing Gun Suspected In Shooting

Pueblo police are testing a gun to see if it was the one used to shoot a man in Belmont.

Darren Hurd, 24, was shot in the chest outside a large party on Nov. 13. Police found a weapon and are working to figure out if it was used to shoot Hurd. Officers say they took the gun from someone at the party, but so far they haven’t made any arrests. Police say they’re having trouble getting in touch with witnesses.

As of early Sunday morning, Hurd was at Parkview Medical Center and there was no word about his condition.
