Updated With Video: Three Arrested After Wild CSPD Chase

A trio of fleeing suspects rammed into police before being arrested on the city’s east side Thursday night.

The suspects are 22-year-old Robert Gocha, 18-year-old Destinee Poret, and 39-year-old Leniga Layton.

It all started just after 9:45pm, with what may have been a robbery at the Shannon Glen Apartments on N. Murray Blvd.

Early reports indicate that a gunshot was fired during the robbery, but no one was hit.

The suspects fled the scene in a black car, running into police cars a few miles north of the apartment complex at the intersection of San Miguel and Potter. A police spokeswoman said the car they were in was disabled by the wreck.

All three suspects were transported to an area hospital and treated for injuries incurred during the fight, as well as from the vehicle collisions.

Gocha and Layton are charged with Aggravated Robbery. Poret is charged with Accessory to Aggravated Robbery.
