House Fire In Fountain

A house fire on Araia Dr. in Fountain kills one dog.

According to Fountain Fire Department, Araia Dr. was closed for a short time while crews worked to extinguish the fire.

The fire has since been put out.

Fountain Fire Department says the fire started in the basement from an unknown cause. The basement suffered heavy fire damage and the upper floors suffered heavy smoke damage. The home is not livable.

Family members who were home were able to escape without injury, however, one dog was killed. Sources tell us there were four animals in the house and three have been accounted for. One cat is still missing.
