Deadly Rollover In Park County

A Westcliffe man is killed when a pickup loses control on an icy road heads across a highway and flips.

Colorado State Troopers say Scott Springer, 24, was not wearing a seatbelt and was thrown from the pickup at around 1 p.m. Saturday. He died on the scene.

Joy Springer, 24, was driving on Highway 9 in Park County south of Hartsel when the accident happened. She is expected to survive as are two two-year-old twins who were in the back seat.

Troopers do not suspect alcohol in this crash.
