Gold’s Gym On N Union Blvd Evicted
Gold’s Gym on the corner of Briargate Blvd and N Union Blvd has been evicted.
The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office says a civil deputy went to the gym today to serve a court-ordered business eviction.
Several viewers tell KRDO Newschannel 13 that they observed police cars and someone changing the locks at the gym Wednesday afternoon.
KRDO Newschannel 13 talked to a locksmith on scene who said the gym did not pay their rent, but this has not been confirmed.
A sign outside the gym’s door says they are closed for the day.
A representative from Gold’s Gym International, located in Irving, Texas, tells us: “We were just notified about the closing of the Gold’s Gym on Briargate this afternoon. That location is an independently owned and operated franchised facility. We are in touch with both the franchisee and the landlord in an effort to help get the gym back open as soon as possible. We are hopeful that members will be able to resume their workouts soon.”
