KRDO News Radio 105.5 FM and 1240 AM, in beautiful Colorado Springs, Colorado, located on the Front Range of the Colorado Rockies, is looking for a News Anchor to co-host our morning radio news show.
Duties and Responsibilities: The duties of this position include but are not limited to: Anchor newscasts; gather, write and review newscast scripts to ensure accuracy, write and deliver news promos: keep abreast of current local, national and international news; develop story ideas; represent station at public events and meetings; liaison with TV news department; do remote broadcasts as assigned; make beat calls and develop news contacts and sources; and post stories to krdo.com, Facebook and Twitter.
Requirements: The successful candidate will have a minimum of four years commercial broadcast journalism experience, or the equivalent, with experience anchoring and reporting regularly scheduled newscasts in a commercial radio and/or TV facility. A bachelor?s degree in journalism, English, political science, economics, telecommunications, or communications, is a strong plus. You also must have a mastery of the English language.
