Water Main Break Impacts Morning Traffic

Colorado Springs Utilities is working to fix two water mains that broke early Monday morning.

Officials said around 4 a.m. a pipe broke near Galley and Branding Iron Drive. The break did damage to part of the road.

Another pipe broke just after 6 a.m. Monday morning on Galley near the Powers Boulevard intersection. Police said the water iced over on the road causing some slick areas Monday.

Police said no roads have been closed because of the break. Utilities crews did not have an estimate as to how many customers were affected.
