Possible Stranger Danger In Widefield School District 3

Parents and students in Widefield School District 3 are being warned about a possible “stranger danger” situation.

According to a message alert to parents from the school district, a fifth grade student was walking to French Elementary School Monday morning when she noticed two men were following her in a car.

The two men are described as Hispanic and were driving a white, four-door sedan with a gray roof and Colorado license plates.

One man got out of the car and began following the girl on foot. He was wearing jeans, a black sweater with white snowflakes on it, and a black beanie cap. He was thin and growing a goatee and mustache.

When the girl started running, the man got back into the car and drove away with the other suspect.

Students are being reminded about safety and stranger danger at school Monday. The district has also heightened security with a focus on school zones before and after school.
