Personhood Initiative Vote In Miss

It’s a hot button issue in Mississippi. Voters are to decide November 8 on the Personhood initiative. On Thursday a small group of physicians showed their support for the measure. The amendment defines a person as the moment an egg is fertilized. It bans abortions with the exception of rape or incest. Governor Haley Barbour voted in favor of the proposal- but admits he struggled with the decision. Opponents say if passed the measure could lead to a ban on birth control.
