UPDATE: Major Colorado Springs Street Reopened

Colorado Springs Utilities says water was restored early Saturday morning to customers who had their service interrupted by the water main replacement.

A water main replacement closed Uintah Street between Cedar and Institute all day Friday and caused water outages to approximately 120 customers.

The road is now reopened.

This is scheduled work and is not a result of a water main break, according to utilities.

The street was initially expected to be closed until about 7:00 p.m.
