Springs Ranger’s Funeral Set

An army ranger from Colorado Springs will be laid to rest Saturday in Iowa.

22-year-old Pfc. Christopher Horns and two other soldiers were killed in a bomb explosion on Oct. 22 in Kandahar, Afghanistan. Horns served as an assistant machine gunner and automatic rifleman earning many awards and decorations.

Horns’ parents live in Colorado Springs but many relatives live in Iowa. His funeral will be at 11:30 a.m. Saturday.
