I-25 Reopened After Jeep Hits Deer
A jeep and a deer collided shortly before 4 a.m. Sunday on Interstate 25 near Monument Hill. The road was closed for more than an hour, but traffic is flowing smoothly now.
State Patrol said the deer was the only one that suffered injuries in the crash.
While officers worked to clear the accident, a man stopped on the other side of the interstate, got out of his car and started dancing with what they thought were glow sticks.
El Paso deputies said the man simply ran out of gas and while waiting for someone to bring him gas, decided to jump rope.
The jump rope had glow-in-the-dark handles, causing the confusion.
As of Sunday morning, the road is reopen and the man and car are both off of the interstate.
