National Drug Take Back Saturday

Saturday is National Drug Take Back Day throughout the country. You can drop off unwanted medication several places.

Home Instead Senior Care, in collaboration with the U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency, El Paso County Sheriff’s Office and the police departments in Colorado Springs, Monument and Woodland Park, will be hosting a drug take-back day.

This program offers a way to help protect seniors from accidentally using expired medications, as well as safeguards them from the potential of medication theft at their homes. It also helps keep prescription drugs out of the water supply.

Drop off locations are as follows:

Security Fire Station #1, 400 Security Blvd., Security

Colorado Springs Police Operations Center, 705 S. Nevada Ave.
