Man Accused Of Stealing Grandparent’s Gun

Colorado Springs police are looking for a gun they say a man stole from his own grandparents.

Police say 30-year-old David Thomeier stole a .44 caliber revolver.

Police caught up with Thomeier at the Motel 6 on North Chestnut Street shortly before 3 a.m. Friday.

Officers, including two canine officers, set up containment on the second floor of the motel.

Officers made contact with Thomeier by phone. He and the other three people in the room exited without incident.

Police did not find the weapon.
