Man Killed After Alleged Home Invasion
The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office says a man is dead after a shooting in Calhan Saturday night.
Lt. Lari Sevene says a couple called 911 saying a man was trying to break into their home in the 15000 block of North Ellicott Highway. According to Sevene, either the man or the woman in the house shot the alleged invader. That man, who’s in his 50s, was flown to the hospital and pronounced dead.
Sevene says the couple knew the victim.
“There is some history there,” said Sevene. “We’re just trying to sort out exactly who’s associated with who among the three.”
As of late Saturday, there were no arrests and the couple was being interviewed by investigators.
