UPDATE: W. Woodmen & Dairy Ranch Water Main Break
Colorado Springs Utilities said an eight-inch water main broke on West Woodmen Road Wednesday morning. Woodmen is closed between Dairy Ranch Road and Carlson Drive.
That is west of I-25 in the Rockrimmon neighborhood.
A Utilities spokesperson said both lanes of West Woodmen will remain closed while crews make repairs, so drivers should avoid the area.
Utilities crews said 10 homes were without water Wednesday morning.
The road closure is expected to last much of the day Wednesday. Colorado Springs Utilities tells us it will remain closed through the evening rush hour.
