Fountain Mesa Road Is Open Again
Fountain Mesa Road is open again after being closed for about an hour due to a hazardous materials scare.
Police say an officer patrolling Fountain Mesa Road found the roadway littered with household trash.
As the officer was clearing the trash from the roadway, he saw a bleach bottle that appeared swollen and pressurized.
Police say it is important for people to know that certain household chemicals, when combined, can become explosive or cause hazardous vapors.
Police say four juveniles are suspected of throwing the trash into the roadway.
No arrest have been made but police say they may make an arrest once they get results from the test of the bottle contents.
