Crimestoppers Look For Check Fraud Suspect

Pueblo Crimestoppers is asking for your help identifying a suspect accused of check fraud.

On Wednesday, Sept. 21st, a man attempted to cash a check at Double J’s Meat Market. The employee thought the man was acting nervous, so she called to verify the check. The victim, Abdul Samad, said he realized it was not a check he had written and told the employee it was no good.

The suspect realized what the employee was doing and immediately left the store, leaving behind his fake ID and the stolen check.

Samad told police he checked his business checkbook and discovered he was missing additional checks. The checks were stolen from the second and third pages of his checkbook.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male with a shaved head. He has a large unidentifiable tattoo on the right side of his neck, and a thick mustache.

If you have any information on the suspect seen in this photo you are urged to call Pueblo Crime Stoppers at 542-STOP (542-7867) or visit their web site at www.Pueblocrimestoppers.com. Your information could earn you a cash reward.
