A new Colorado Senate Minority Leader is elected after Mike Kopp announced his resignation on Tuesday.

The Republican caucus elected Senator Bill Cadman, R-Colorado Springs, to the office of Senate Minority Leader for the 2012 legislative session.

Senator Mark Sheffel, R-Parker will be the Assistant Senate Minority Leader, Senator Scott Renfroe, R-Greeley will be the Republican Caucus Chairman, and Senator Kevin Grantham, R-Canon City, will serve as Senate Minority Whip.
