Update: Police Standoff Ends Peacefully In Fountain

A brief police standoff ended peacefully after a suicidal man surrendered without incident Wednesday night.

Police had set up a security perimeter on Fountain Ridge Circle, a standoff that lasted a little less than an hour.

The man was in his early twenties. Police are trying to confirm reports that he is a Fort Carson soldier.

Streets in the area, including portions of Comanche Village Drive were cordoned off during the operation.
