Police Arrest Homicide Suspect
Tuesday, police arrested Benjamin Colten who is wanted on four separate warrants in Colorado Springs and a fifth warrant out of Spokane, Wash.
The most serious charge comes out of Spokane, where Colten is wanted on homicide charges.
Colten is suspected of attempted murder when, police said, he tried to run someone over on the 2100 block of Templeton Gap in Colorado Springs last year. He is also suspected of felony menacing, marijuana cultivation and for failure to appear on a traffic violation.
Police told KRDO NewsChannel13 they got a tip that Colten was in Colorado Springs and a after an investigation they tracked him down to the area near Legends Golf Club Pub and Grill.
Police said Colten had 4.7 grams of suspected marijuana on him when he was arrested.
The Colorado Springs Police Department said Colten may be extradited to Spokane, but it would take some time because he must answer for his alleged charged in Colorado Springs first.
