Sand Creek High School Perimeter Cleared

A secure perimeter was lifted at Sand Creek High School Tuesday afternoon after police searched a home in the area for a murder suspect.

Police were searching for Roy Saldivar, 41, wanted in connection with the September shooting of Oscar Frias, 34. Saldivar was not found.

Baek Galliher, the woman who owns the home on Heathmoor Dr., was shocked to find out her home was being searched. She said she lives there with her son, daughter and two grandchildren.

?Because Mr. Saldivar is considered to be armed and extremely dangerous, members of our tactical enforcement unit were called out to assist us in securing the residence,? said Sgt. Jeff Jensen with the Colorado Springs Police Department. ?It’s unknown if individuals are harboring (Saldivar). What we want to remind people is that if they do choose to assist him they could be arrested for accessory to murder in the first degree.?

Galliher said she does not know Saldivar and said she had nothing to hide.

Saldivar is described as a Hispanic man, five feet eight inches tall, weighing around 180 pounds. He has multiple tattoos.

If anyone has information about Saldivar?s whereabouts they are asked to call 911.
