Memorial May Honor Vietnamese Veterans

A Vietnam War Memorial in Olympia, WA, could soon get an additional plaque that would honor South Vietnamese veterans that fought and died alongside Americans during the war.

But several people say they’re not on board with that plan and are speaking out about it.

Since its dedication in 1987, this wall stood as place to honor the fallen vietnam war heroes from our state. There is a debate, about whether to add this plaque for all Vietnam vets, including the south vietnamese.

For now – the plans are still in place for the addition. The veterans affairs department hopes to reach a compromise everyone can agree on.
