Stolen Car Recovered, Suspect Arrested

Colorado Springs police arrested a man on suspicion of aggravated motor vehicle theft and said he may be linked to other thefts in the city.

Police said they were able to track down the car theft suspect with help from the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies told officers they were chasing a stolen car on Wednesday night. Officers said they helped deputies investigate in the 4500 block of Lamplighter Circle.

Police arrested Rodney Stagner on an unrelated warrant. Officers arrested a second man on suspicion of aggravated motor vehicle theft. His name is not being released because he may be linked to other thefts.

Officers said they were pleased that they were able to make an arrest because motor vehicle thefts are often difficult to investigate.
