One Step Closer To Curing Breast Cancer — Will You Join Us?

It’s the most common cancer among women across the globe. And men aren’t immune, either.

It’s breast cancer, and it knows no bounds.

In fact, 200,000 women and 2,000 men will be diagnosed with breast cancer this year alone. Chances are, you know someone — or are someone — with the diagnosis.

KRDO Newschannel 13 is proud to partner with the Susan G. Komen of Southeastern Colorado to bring us one step closer to finding a cure and helping those with this potentially deadly disease.

So join us in this mission Sunday, September 11th at Garden of the Gods Park in Colorado Springs for the Race for the Cure! Our goal is to raise a half million dollars. Money raised is awarded to local breast cancer support groups, prevention, and education. A portion of funds go towards cutting-edge research.

2010’s Race for the Cure was a record attendance year for the race, with 8,086 participants.

There are various ways you can participate:

Pooches in Pink, Saturday at 3 p.m. Sleep-In for the Cure Race for the Cure, Sunday at 8 – 10 a.m.

We look forward to seeing you there!
