Udall Asks Obama To Include His Bill
Colorado Senator, Mark Udall, is requesting his bill be included in President Obama’s jobs proposal.
Udall’s bill proposes to create thousands of jobs by expanding credit union lending to small businesses. According to Udall, the bill “could create well over 100,000 jobs by next summer alone if we passed this into law today.” He says he is encouraging Obama to include the bill in his speech tomorrow.
The Credit Union National Association estimates that Udall’s bill will increase small-business lending by more than $13 billion in the first year.
Obama will announce his package of ideas to create jobs and boost the economy during a speech to Congress Thursday.
