Balloon Classic Brings Big Business To Vendors

The 35th Annual Balloon Classic in Colorado Springs brings thousands of spectators to Memorial Park for Labor Day weekend.

Vendors at the Balloon Classic said that this was one of the better years for sales, and continually sold out of product.

Elizabeth Allman with the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory said she had a lot of repeat costumers for specific items. “Our chocolate dipped bacon we have sold out every single day.”

Vendors at the event say that they plan on coming back for years to come because it is a profitable event.

Latrice Lockhart with Serenity Global a gourmet coffee company said, “This is one of our biggest events, and what I love about it is it’s big but its still small and quaint with the family and kids.”

The Balloon Classic had 64 hot-air balloons this year, making it the largest hot-air balloon event in the state.
