Woman Arrested, Accused Of Hitting Officer

Colorado Springs arrested a woman Friday morning and accused her of hitting a police officer.

Police said officers in the area saw a disturbance taking place near Tejon Street and Pikes Peak Avenue shortly after 2 a.m.

Police said a woman approached medical personal while they were assisting a person injured. According to police the woman was very aggressive in her approach.

Police asked 22-year-old Amanda Baity to leave the scene and calm down. Police said she refused to leave and when an officer stepped in, she hit the officer twice in the face.

Baity was arrested and is now facing charges.
