C-DOT Says Congressional Decision Could Halt Projects
Colorado Department Of Transportation leaders are holding their breaths while Congress continues to debate a transportation bill that provides 50 percent of the department’s annual funding.
If Congress does not vote to extend or create a new bill, 41 projects in Colorado would be put on hold. C-DOT Engineer Doug Lollar said some seven or eight of those projects would be in Colorado Springs.
Lollar said he is unsure of which projects would be delayed, but knew that the ongoing construction along Highway 115 would be stopped.
Still, C-DOT officials said they remain hopeful and will continue to work and plan as usual, for now.
