3 Injured In Palmer Park Crash

The Major Accidents Unit of the Colorado Springs Police Department was investigating a serious crash Friday night.

The accident happened in the 5000 block of Palmer Park between Powers and Academy.

Palmer Park was closed in both directions while the investigation continued.

Police say 63 year old William farrell was driving Westbound in a Mitsubishi when he lost control, crossed into oncoming traffic, and slammed into an Izuzu Trooper.

The driver and passenger in the trooper were thrown from the vehicle.

All 3 people were taken to the hospital with various injuries.

Farrell was later arrested on charges of Vehicular Assault and DUI.
