San Luis Valley Drug Bust

Seven people have been arrested by the Alamosa Police Department, Colorado State Troopers in the San Luis Valley for distributing drugs.

On Wednesday the Colorado State Patrol, Alamosa Police Department, and the Department of Corrections Alamosa Parole Office, with the cooperation from the 12th Judicial District Attorney?s Office, and the Drug Enforcement Administration executed seven arrest warrants and two search warrants that resulted in seven arrests, said the Colorado State Patrol.

Early this year Alamosa Police and State Troopers developed information that several people were actively involved in the distribution of methamphetamine and cocaine in the San Luis Valley, said Troopers. With the assistance of the Department of Corrections Alamosa Parole office, and DEA warrants were issued and executed which resulted in the following arrests, said troopers: Michael Pinon-Arambula, age 26 of Alamosa, Charged with Distribution of Methamphetamine, Bond $75,000 Steven DeHerrera, age 39 of Alamosa, Charged with Distribution of Methamphetamine, Bond $50,000 Jesus Pinon-Arambula, age 33 of Monte Vista, Charged with Distribution of Methamphetamine and Cocaine, Bond $75,000 Jose Octavio Lopez-Montes, age 40 of Center, Charged with Distribution of Cocaine, Bond $75,000 Francisco Avila-Elizarras, age 52 of Alamosa, Charged with Distribution of Cocaine, Bond $50,000 Machelle Dominguez, age 45 of Alamosa, Charged with Distribution of Methamphetamine, Bond $50,000 Judith Ruybal, age 33 of Alamosa, Charged with Distribution of Methamphetamine, Bond $50,000

All arrests were made without incident, said state troopers.

Authorities are still looking for Adrian Lucero, 28, of Alamosa. troopers said. He is facing charges of distribution of Methamphetamine, Bond $75,000

In addition to the arrests, 2.8 Lbs of methamphetamines and 1.57 Lbs of cocaine were seized with an estimated street value of $157,200. Also seized were two vehicles, three rifles, one handgun, one stun gun, one military style bullet proof flak vest, and an undisclosed amount of cash.
