Update: Triple Shooting Murder-Suicide Survivor

The victim in a triple shooting that happened one week ago on Las Vegas Street in Colorado Springs is still struggling to survive, according to friends.

Gustavo Marquez was shot by his father Carmen Marquez, 71, who police say then shot and killed his own wife and then shot and killed himself in front of several neighbors.

Gustavo’s friends say he took a turn for the worse this week and they’re asking for your prayers tonight.

“I just really hope and pray that he is able to pull through this,” Bail Bondsman Bobby Brown told us. Brown’s been at the hospital with Gustavo, “”We said some prayers and I could see little tears coming down his eyes.”

Brown says Gustavo Marquez worked for him and helped those who only speak Spanish navigate the court system.

“More than anything he was a really true friend,” Brown says, “he didn’t ask anybody for anything and he was always willing to give anything that he had to anybody.”

Brown also says he’s shocked by the shooting, “Carmen and his wife were the nicest people.”

He’s asking for prayers for Gustavo and the family.
