Calhan Woman Killed In Crash
A Calhan woman is killed in a crash in eastern El Paso County Saturday, Colorado State Patrol said.
Investigators said Elisa Rodriguez-Sanchez was driving on Ranch Highway about a mile north of Judd Orr Road when she lost control of her Ford F-150.
The truck spun off the right side of the road and hit a barbed fence and wooden post.
Officials said the exact time of the crash is not known because it was not discovered until 6:40 a.m. Saturday morning. Investigators believe it happened early Saturday morning.
Rodriguez-Sanchez was not wearing her seat belt at the time of the crash, according to State Patrol.
Officials said they are investigating whether alcohol or speed were factors in the crash.
