Police: Teen Staged Own Abduction

Aurora Police have canceled an Amber Alert for a 15-year-old girl who they say was never abducted from her home.

Authorities had been searching for Jasmine Colleen-Ila Fike since Wednesday morning.

Police found her ex-boyfriend, 37-year-old Franky Session Wednesday; however, the Amber Alert remained in effect through Thursday.

Fike has yet to be found, and is believed to be a voluntary runaway, hiding with known criminals. Her whereabouts are unknown. Investigators are continuing to search for her.

Aurora Police say the teen’s disappearance was a “well-orchestrated hoax.”

Wednesday, Fike frantically called 911 stating that someone was trying to break into her place and take her. When Aurora Police detectives arrived at her home, Fike was nowhere to be found. There were signs of a struggle inside the home.

Detectives do not believe Franky Session played a role in Fike’s disappearance.
