Police Get Man After Second Chase

Colorado Springs Police have arrested a man they chased for the second time Thursday afternoon.

Police spotted Carl Roquemore on Thursday afternoon near Fillmore and Chestnut, said police. Officers swarmed the area and eventually found him hiding in a Dumpster near 3720 Sinton Road, where they took him into custody, said police.

Roquemore was the subject of a police foot chase and search in the Widefield area on Wednesday, said police. That search resulted in three Widefield schools going to a “secure perimeter” status as a precaution, said School District Spokesman James Drew.

Roquemore was wanted on at least two warrants for burglary.
