Arrest After High-Speed Chase

A man is behind bars after a high-speed chase from Colorado Springs to Denver.

State Troopers say it started with a crash on I-25 northbound yesterday afternoon and one driver took off. A trooper spotted the car near Castle Rock and pulled it over, which is when the driver sped away. The chase reached speeds of 100 miles an hour. The trooper finally caught up with him at the Denver Tech Center.

Officials aren’t releasing the driver’s name but say he will likely face charges of eluding and reckless driving for the chase, and for the initial hit-and-run he will likely face charges of careless driving, failing to remain at the scene, and not notifying police after a crash.

No one was hurt.
