Police: 2 Women Kidnapped at Gunpoint
Colorado Springs police say two women were kidnapped at gunpoint Saturday in separate incidents.
The latest kidnapping happened shortly before 9 Saturday night, police said.
According to police, crews responded to a call about a domestic disturbance on North El Paso Street. When they arrived, they discovered the couple was gone. After several calls to 911 about the incident, police found the woman in the Holland Park area.
She told police the man involved in the domestic dispute was her ex-boyfriend and he had forced her into the car at gunpoint. Police say the woman tried to get out of the car several times, even while the car was in motion, which is the reason police got so many 911 calls and were able to locate the victim.
No arrests have been made yet, police said.
The woman was treated and released from a local hospital.
Another woman was kidnapped shortly before 1 Saturday afternoon on El Camino Drive near Flintridge Drive, police said.
Officers say they arrested George Burse after getting several calls of a woman being taken away against her will.
Police say Burse forced his wife to leave her home at gunpoint.
She told officers that he got inside her car and told her to start driving, and that she tried to get away at least five or six times but he pulled her back into the car.
Burse was taken to jail and is facing kidnapping charges.
