Doughertys Each Held On $1.25 Million Bond

The three Dougherty siblings who were caught in Walsenburg on Wednesday did not appear as scheduled in Pueblo County court Thursday morning.

The three were expected to be in court just before 11 a.m. to be advised of possible charges they would face following a high-speed chase, during which they shot at pursuing Colorado State Patrol troopers and Pueblo County Sheriff’s Office deputies.

Each of the siblings has been charged with first-degree attempted murder on a peace officer and first-degree assault on a peace officer with deliberation. Their bonds have been set at $1.25 million each.

An attorney from the Public Defender’s Office appeared and waived the appearances for all three Doughertys. He told KRDO NEWSCHANNEL 13 that he plans to treat his clients as he would any others.

The Dougherty siblings’ next court appearance is scheduled for Monday morning.
