Colorado Pilot Killed In Afghanistan Attack

A spokeswoman for the Colorado National Guard announced Monday that the pilot of the Chinook helicopter shot down by insurgents over the weekend was stationed in Colorado.

The crash killed 22 Navy SEALS and a total of 30 U.S. Servicemen.

“It is with deep sadness that we announce the loss of a Colorado National Guardsman in combat operations in Afghanistan,” said Air Force MSgt Cheresa Theiral in a public statement.

Theiral no further details about the man’s identity could be released through the Colorado National guard because the Department of Defense has yet to notify family of all the victims.
