UPDATE: Fort Carson Gate 1 Now Open
Fort Carson has re-opened its main gate, after authorities had closed it while talking to a “suspicious individual.”
The Army post closed Gate 1 at Highway 115 and Nelson Boulevard on Friday afternoon after a driver raised the suspicion of the guards.
Fort Carson says an explosive ordnance detachment was called to the scene to inspect the vehicle.
People can still get on and off the Army post through other gates.
