Spike Strip Ends High-Speed Chase
State troopers arrested a man early Tuesday morning after a high-speed chase on Interstate 25.
Troopers say it started a little after midnight just north of Colorado Springs when they tried stopping a car for speeding, but the car took off, leading troopers on a chase that reached speeds of 100 mph. Troopers laid spike strips and stopped the car near the South Academy exit.
Troopers arrested 25-year-old Jerry Tarango, who they say had several warrants.
