2 Teller Co. Deputies No Longer Employed

Two people employed by the Teller County sheriff’s office, who were issued summonses for misdemeanor child abuse over the weekend, are no longer employed by the sheriff’s office, KRDO confirms.

The Teller County sheriff’s office said they won’t issue any more comments on the matter, citing it’s a personnel matter.

The incident happened just after midnight on Saturday at a home in Park County. When deputies arrived, they found four children unsupervised and two intoxicated adults in the home, according to deputies.

The two adults, identified as Kendal Klug and Joni Coleman, were both employed at the time by the Teller County Sheriff’s Office, said Park County deputies.

Klug and Coleman were issued summonses for misdemeanor child abuse and the children were turned over to responsible adults, according to Park County deputies.
