Air Academy H.S. Teacher Remembered

Rob Christopher, a popular Air Academy High School teacher was remembered Monday night.

Christopher died July 12th, after being struck by lightening while camping in Arizona.

His wife, Jen Christopher, addressed a group of friends and students at a church in Castle Rock.

?He loved all of you very much and wished nothing but the best for everybody,? said Christopher in her eulogy.

A neighbor and friend of the Christophers said the memorial service was for the students whose lives he impacted.

?Today is going to be their day to share their feelings and thoughts about him,? said Gina Burkhart.

One such student said Christopher was her track coach and government teacher.

?He pushed me to be the person I am today,” said former student Gabrielle Quirao,”Without him I wouldn’t be who I am,?

Students call Christopher more than a teacher. Quiano said he was like a father and a mentor.
