Low Cost Rabies Clinic For Your Pet This Weekend

Pueblo Animal Services will offer a low cost rabies shot clinic this Saturday in Pueblo.

The event will be held this Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Pueblo Animal Services located at 4600 Eagleridge Place in Pueblo.

Rabies vaccinations will be $8 per animal. Other vaccinations will be available for $10 each, the Humane Society said.

?Recently there have been confirmed cases of Rabies found in the Pueblo area, and overall the virus is on the rise in Colorado. Vaccinating your pets is the best way to keep them and your family safe,” said Julie Justman, associate director of Pueblo Animal Services.

Other vaccinations include Distemper/Parvovirus combo and Bordatella for dogs for $10 and FVRCP or the Rhino/Calici/Panleukopenia combination shot for cats, also for $10.

Vaccinations can be paid in cash only, the organization said.

Rabies is deadly to both animals and humans. The Rabies vaccine is mandatory for both cats and dogs in Pueblo and Pueblo County.
