No-Kill Cat Rescue Seeking Community Support

A local no-kill cat shelter in Colorado Springs is seeking community support.

LookWhatTheCatBroughtIn.Org recently received 11 cats needing extensive medial care, including amputations, full mouth extraction and oral care.

The purebred cats came from an Arizona breeder turned hoarder, said president Jennifer Nosler.

Nosler said the medical bills would be expensive. ?We?re a non-profit organization and get most of our funding through grants and donations. Anything is helpful during this time,? she said.

According to the website, LookWhatTheCatBroughtIn.Org was founded three years ago to address the issue of unwanted cats in Colorado. It has a veterinary advisory board. Every cat adopted has been tested for feline leukemia and feline immunodeficiency virus. All cats are spayed or neutered, receive vaccinations and treatment for parasites.

The shelter is located on 424 W. Fillmore St in Colorado Springs.
