Free Bus Rides Friday For Earth Day

Mountain Metropolitan Transit said they will offer free bus rides on Friday in honor of Earth Day. Colorado Springs city buses, FrontRange Express and Ute Pass Express are all included, MMT said.

“Mountain Metropolitan Transit is dedicated to the idea that public transportation is a crucial part of the solution to our energy and environmental challenges,” said Craig Blewitt, director Mountain Metropolitan Transit.

“We hope our free rides on Earth Day help demonstrate the importance of public transportation and encourage more people in our community to think about alternative modes of transportation,” he said.

This year’s Earth Day theme is a Billion Acts of Green®. The intention of this theme is to mobilize one billion acts of environmental service around the world, a website said.
