Last-Minute Rush On Voter Status Happening Now

Procrastinators are rushing to the city clerk’s office in Colorado Springs trying to change their voting status before the 7 p.m. deadline.

KRDO’s Lindsay Watts said there is a “steady stream” of people at the downtown clerk’s office, at 30 S. Nevada Ave., Suite 101. Voters are hoping to change their voting status from ‘inactive,’ to active’ in order to vote in Tuesday’s ballot-only election.

The status change is allowed until 7 p.m., the city clerk said. That’s also when ballots are due at one of seven locations in Colorado Springs.

Change of address will not be permitted Tuesday evening.
