Lt. Dan Band Performing Free Concert At Ft. Carson

Actor/musician Gary Sinise and the Lt. Dan Band will perform a free concert April 8 at Fort Carson. The concert will begin at 7 p.m. at the Special Events center on post.

The concert is free and open to the public.

The 12-member Lt. Dan Band will perform a variety of cover hits to include classic songs by Stevie Wonder and Jimi Hendrix to contemporary chartbusters by Kelly Clarkson, Evanescence, Beyonce, Lonestar and the Zac Brown Band.

The band has toured numerous military bases in America and overseas, often partnering with the USO. In addition to touring with the band, Gary Sinise is an advocate for veterans and national spokesperson for American Veterans Disabled for Life Memorial.

Sinise is best known for his role as Lt. Dan in the 1994 blockbuster, Forrest Gump.

Although the Special Events Center is capable of seating 1,000 people, early arrival for this event is suggested. Doors open at approximately 6 p.m.

Visitors who do not have a military registration decal on their vehicles are asked to use Fort Carson’s main gate located just off of State Highway 115 on the west side of the post. All visitors must present a federal or state issued photo identification card, vehicle registration, proof of insurance and be prepared for a vehicle search at the gate.
