Fort Carson Hosts ‘Saving Abel’ Concert

Rock band ‘Saving Abel’ will perform a free concert as part of their Miss America tour at Fort Carson on April 6.

This concert event is free and open to the general public. Tickets are not required. The event begins at 7 p.m. at the Special Events center on post.

The events center has a capacity of 1,000 people for the concert. Fort Carson is strongly urging you to arrive early because of limited seating. Doors will open around 6 p.m.

Visitors who do not have a military registration decal on their vehicles are asked to use Fort Carson’s main gate located just off of State Highway 115 on the west side of the post. All visitors must present a federal or state issued photo identification card, vehicle registration, proof of insurance and be prepared for a vehicle search at the gate.

Saving Abel has released three albums since 2006, with their latest album titled “Miss America” released last June. Their 2008 hit song “Addicted” was certified platinum on U.S. alternative and rock charts, creating a presence for the band in the international rock music industry.

Saving Abel performed for U.S. troops during a USO tour of the Persian Gulf in February 2008. The band has also toured with other popular groups such as Nickelback, Hinder, Papa Roach, Creed, Filer and Drowning Pool.
