10 Pot Plants Found In Colo. Springs Home

Colorado Springs police responded to a 911 call Thursday on Shasta Drive and found 10 pot plants.

A woman called 911 and asked for police but quickly hung up, police said.

Officers responded but were unable to get anyone to the door.

Neighbors said they heard a disturbance and breaking glass, so officers forced entry into the home, police said.

Several children and the woman who called 911 were inside the home. The woman told police it was just a loud phone call and that she was breaking glass.

As police checked the home, they found a marijuana grow in the basement. There were approximately 10 plants.

At this time, it is unknown if the residents had a valid permit to grow the marijuana.
